WHAT IS HYPNOSIS AND HYPNOTHERAPY?

hypnosis is a natural state of mind with many beneficial characteristics.

Hypnosis is a trance state, where the brain waves are slowed from the waking Beta wave to Alpha or even slower into Theta and Delta waves. It allows increased sensitivity to therapeutic suggestions because the critical faculty or "gateway" between the conscious and subconscious mind relaxes. This gateway is what protects us from constant programming from our environment. The subconscious mind stores our beliefs and the conscious mind makes analysis of our environment from those beliefs, so without the critical faculty in effect we would believe everything that experience to be true. Because the critical faculty is relaxed during hypnosis, there is direct access to communicate with the subconscious mind, gain access to deep wisdom, heal, and make powerful, positive, and long lasting change!

WHAT IS THE TRIUNE MIND?

The Triune Mind is made up of 3 parts:

Conscious / Subconscious / Superconscious

The Conscious Mind is the aspect of the mind that analyses. You can think of it as you will, cognition, and your senses. 

The Subconscious Mind is the part of the mind where your beliefs are stored. It guides the autonomic nervous system, which is how the reason why we can use our subconscious to direct positive changes in our physical body.

It is the seat of memory and emotion, and speaks in the language of imagery. The subconscious mind is timeless, always in the now, therefore always "awake". It is the "doer" mind, steering you from pain to pleasure based on your stored beliefs. This is the source of your creative intelligence and imagination. Your subconscious mind takes everything literally, therefore we must be wise and learn to communicate with our subconscious in a way that promotes positivity and well-being.

The Superconscious Mind is our problem solving intelligence. Its is a level of mind that can be reached in a deep trance. It is a field of unity, love, forgiveness, healing, peace, intuition, and grace - the Universal Mind.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 How is hypnosis different from meditation?
Hypnosis is meditation on rocket fuel. It is training the mind to focus on something specific using selective thinking.

Can I get stuck in hypnosis?

No, you simply count yourself out  from 1-5 and say "Fully Alert". The mind cannot go against mind, therefore you will bring yourself out if that is what you want. Alternatively you can just fall asleep and wake up refreshed. 

How can I use self-hypnosis with my other self care practices?
Yes, hypnosis can increase their effectiveness.

How can I improve my imagination?
Practice, imagination is a skill. 

How can I improve my responsiveness to hypnosis?

Practice. Program it. Create the proper environment.

Can I lose control in hypnosis?
No, you gain control.

Can I lose consciousness in hypnosis?

You are consciousness, you can never lose it. Hypnosis is a natural state (ex. like reading a book and tuning out what is around you or driving and not remembering your drive)

Are you going to make me bark like a dog?

If that is your highest goal...

How long does it take for change to occur?
Change begins when you begin! 21 days, 2 times a day is the recommended minimum for long lasting results.

Will I cry in hypnosis?
It is possible. In hypnosis we will be working with the subconscious which is the feeling mind.

What is empowerment?
Becoming stronger and more confident by changing your (-) emotions to (+) emotions, therefore having more control over one's own life. Feeling is the secret.

How do I quiet my inner critic?
Become aware of the (-) thought, say "Cancel Cancel", and replace with a (+) therapeutic suggestion.
